About the position
The Piano Teacher position at The Piano Place involves instructing students in music lessons, primarily focusing on piano but also welcoming other instruments. Responsibilities
- Instructing students for 30-minute lessons
- Assessing new student abilities
- Creating lesson plans
- Preparing students for recitals
- Facilitating student participation in recitals
- Assisting students in reaching their goals for learning
- Communicating with parents/guardians on students' progress
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills to connect with people of all ages and skill levels
- Ability to demonstrate teaching ability and instrument skill level during an interview
- Minimum of a 1-year commitment to teaching
- Ability to teach on multiple instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, etc.) is a plus
Nice-to-haves
- Degree in Music Education or Music Performance is a plus
- Open to first-time teachers and experienced teachers alike
