About the position
The Albuquerque Institute of Music is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Piano Teachers to provide exceptional music education to students of all ages and skill levels. This part-time position allows instructors to focus on teaching while the institute manages billing and scheduling. Teachers will have opportunities to engage with students in lessons and performances, contributing to their musical growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Develop customized, long-term music education plans for each student, tailoring the curriculum to their goals, interests, and skill level.
- Interact with students and their families, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Actively participate as a contributing member of the Albuquerque Institute of Music team, collaborating with colleagues and sharing ideas to enhance the overall music education experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument.
