About the position

The Pick Packer position at CuraScriptSD involves a critical role in the logistics and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. This position is responsible for accurately pulling, packing, and shipping both refrigerated and non-refrigerated items. The Pick Packer will utilize various warehouse equipment, including RF units, computer systems such as AS400, manifest machines, and cherry pickers to ensure efficient operations. The role also encompasses essential warehouse functions, such as stocking pack stations with necessary packing supplies and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. In this position, the Pick Packer will pull orders based on RF unit instructions and order tickets, ensuring that all items are verified before they are sent to the packing station. The individual will be tasked with manifesting cartons using carrier manifest stations and ensuring that carton labels match the pick tickets. Additionally, the role requires stacking and shrink-wrapping cartons to specific skids according to carrier shipping levels. Attention to detail is paramount, as the Pick Packer must pack orders according to specific instructions, which may include the use of extra dunnage, ice, or other special requirements. The Pick Packer will also be responsible for general housekeeping duties within the warehouse and pack stations, which includes restocking shipping supplies such as boxes, bubble wrap, and air pillows, as well as returning totes and carts to their designated areas. This position is essential for maintaining the flow of operations within the distribution center and ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Pulls order accurately according to RF unit and order ticket.
• Verifies orders before sending to pack station.
• Manifests cartons using carrier manifest stations and verifies carton label to the pick-ticket.
• Stacks and shrink wraps cartons to specific skids by carrier ship level.
• Packs orders according to order ticket, paying attention to items needing extra dunnage, ice, and special instructions.
• Uses warehouse equipment, RF units, manifest machines, cherry picker, and computer system.
• Maintains general housekeeping of warehouse and pack stations.
• Restocks pack stations with shipping supplies (boxes, bubble wrap, paper, air pillows, etc.) and returns totes and carts to proper areas.

Requirements

• Minimum six months to a year in a distribution center environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• RF unit experience helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and type in English.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
• Ability and willingness to work required overtime with little to no notice.
