The Picker/Loader position involves the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, including lift trucks, pallet jacks, and electric battery handling equipment. The role requires effective and accurate data entry into the ERP (SAP) system, as well as the safe loading and unloading of trailers while adhering to internal and external requirements. Employees will be responsible for the safe handling and storage of materials and ingredients in approved storage locations, including off-site storage locations. This position also involves following FIFO and inventory control practices, staging batch ingredients and materials, and ensuring production lines are staged and full for continuous batch operations in accordance with the production run schedule. Additionally, the Picker/Loader will perform pre and post-usage inspections of ingredients, materials, and chemicals during loading/offloading and batch operations to ensure materials meet specifications. Effective communication with internal and external customers is essential, as is the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in detail without deviation. The role also includes performing department environmental and housekeeping controls, supporting internal and external audits, and complying with federal, state, and local dairy food regulations.
