About the position
This position is for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in pediatric cardiology. The role involves providing medical care and post-operative support in a clinical setting, with a focus on pediatric patients. The candidate will be expected to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekdays, and weekends, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care in pediatric cardiology
- Assist in post-operative care for cardiothoracic patients
- Perform procedures such as arterial and central venous catheter placement
- Conduct endotracheal intubation and lumbar punctures
- Execute needle thoracentesis as needed
Requirements
- Active Texas NP/PA license
- Minimum of one year of pediatric cardiology experience
- Experience in cardiothoracic post-operative care
- Proficiency in arterial and central venous catheter placement
- Ability to perform endotracheal intubation
- Experience with lumbar puncture and needle thoracentesis
