About the position

The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and supervising Kakivik employees at various work sites, including the Anchorage office and remote locations. This role involves overseeing project crews, coordinating activities with job supervisors, and managing inspection data. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring that work meets client expectations. It is a project-based role expected to last approximately three years.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise project crews at various work sites.
  • Coordinate crew activities with job supervisors and Kakivik staff.
  • Perform data entry and analysis of inspection data.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and regular meetings with clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Identify methods to improve productivity and evaluate inspection techniques.
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of NRC Radiation records and reports.
  • Provide technical support to inspection crews as needed.
  • Develop cohesive work crews and provide necessary supervision and assistance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 5 years' supervisor or field lead experience.
  • Minimum 10 years as an NDE technician.
  • RT Level II experience specific to North Slope pipeline activity.
  • Film Interpretation for code quality to CR and/or hold a qualification for reading and interpreting radiographic images to standards such as API, ASME, AWS.
  • ASNT IRRSP certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of tools used in scope of work.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • UT Level II Phased Array experience in ASME and API semi-automated weld inspection technique requirements.
  • Experience in ASME and API technique and film interpretation.
  • Magnetic Particle Level II - dry method.
  • Liquid Penetrant Level II - visible method.
  • Current Level 2 certifications and/or in UT, MT & PT is preferred.
  • Current ASNT Level 2 certifications for RT utilizing and interpreting computed, and digital radiography (CR) is preferred.
