About the position

The Aircraft Pilot position at Fairweather, LLC involves operating company aircraft, specifically the Q400, in support of ConocoPhillips' operations in Alaska. This role is critical for ensuring safe and efficient domestic flight operations, requiring a high level of aviation expertise and adherence to safety protocols. The position is based in Anchorage, AK, and is part of a contingent workforce program.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and proficiently operating the company aircraft.
  • Operating aircraft in accordance with all applicable regulations and ConocoPhillips Aviation Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintaining preparedness to operate as second-in-command, including being available with 1 hour's notice for standby duty.
  • Planning flights, selecting the safest and most efficient routes, and developing alternative flight plans.
  • Obtaining, reviewing, and interpreting weather/NOTAMs.
  • Utilizing a Flight Risk Assessment Tool to assess and mitigate risk.
  • Performing aircraft pre-flight and post-flight inspections.
  • Determining appropriate fuel loads and accurate loading of passengers, baggage, and cargo.
  • Calculating and solving weight and balance problems.
  • Completing records and appropriate entries in aircraft logbooks/operations forms.
  • Providing team leadership and promoting teamwork within the aviation department.

Requirements

  • 5+ years aviation experience.
  • Commercial Pilot FAA Certificate, multi-engine land rating.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certification.
  • Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time completed/logged.
  • Minimum 2,500 hours multiengine airplane flight time completed/logged.
  • Minimum 2,500 hours PIC airplane flight time completed/logged.
  • Minimum 1,500 hours multiengine PIC airplane flight time completed/logged.
