About the position

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified Pilot in Command candidates for a Challenger 300 aircraft based in Dallas, TX (KDAL). This position offers an excellent work-life balance, as it will be staffed with three Captains, flying approximately 425 hours per year. The aircraft will primarily be used for the owner(s), with a small amount of P135 retail charter. The role provides predictability in scheduling, as pop-ups are rare and trips are scheduled in advance. Joining the industry's largest and safest aircraft management company, which boasts over 40 years of experience, offers peace of mind and longevity in the account's long-standing involvement in aircraft ownership. The successful candidate will join a well-established account already supported by two highly-experienced CL300 Captains, with additional support from other EJM Challenger pilots during time off and training events. A dedicated maintenance technician for this tail minimizes downtime and improves dispatch reliability. As the Pilot in Command (PIC), you will hold final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This includes complying with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience. The PIC will ensure the safe operation of flights by overseeing crewing and trip assignments, completing flight planning, and utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks. The role also involves compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordination with company personnel as required. The PIC will complete all aircraft pre-flight tasks, monitor ground servicing items, and deliver the highest level of customer service to passengers, including special needs considerations. Additionally, the PIC will maintain proficiency and compliance with regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience, while actively participating in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the safe operation of flight by complying with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment as required.
  • Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
  • Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required.
  • Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
  • Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including checking the maintenance status of the aircraft to ensure it is mission capable.
  • Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Monitors and accomplishes all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
  • Completes passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation, delivering the highest level of customer service.
  • Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate with crew and support personnel during operations.
  • Provides quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
  • Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers.
  • Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
  • Complies with company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in corporate/business aviation.
  • FAA Type rating in CL300 strongly preferred.
  • International experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Total flight time: 3500 hours.
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours.
  • Pilot in Command: 2000 hours.
  • PIC MEL: 500 hours.
  • Instrument: 300 hours.
  • Jet: 500 hours.
