About the position

Executive JetManagement, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified candidates for a G280 aircraft based at GYY airport in Gary, IN. This position involves operating a 3-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, flying part 91 with an average of 200 hours annually to domestic and international destinations. The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds final responsibility to ensure the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC must comply with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience. The role requires the PIC to ensure the safe operation of flight by ensuring that crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements. The PIC will complete flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment as required. Utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology, the PIC will lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks. Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential, and coordination with company personnel is required. The PIC will also act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy, and will complete all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including checking the maintenance status of the aircraft to ensure it is mission capable. In addition to operational responsibilities, the PIC will ensure that all aircraft ground servicing items, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen, are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs. The PIC will complete passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation, delivering the highest level of customer service and meeting any special needs of passengers, including those who are physically challenged. The PIC will utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate with crew and support personnel clearly and in a timely manner during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations. The PIC is also responsible for delivering an exceptional service experience by providing quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. This includes regularly investigating and resolving service deviations, collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience, and resolving conflicts and challenges in an acceptable manner. Maintaining proficiency and compliance is crucial, which includes regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience, as well as compliance with the company SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the safe operation of flight by complying with company and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
  • FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
  • Total flight time of 3500 hours.
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL) experience of 1500 hours.
  • Pilot in Command (PIC) experience of 2000 hours.
  • PIC MEL experience of 500 hours.
  • Instrument experience of 300 hours.
  • Jet experience of 500 hours.
  • First Class Medical Certificate.
