About the position

The Pipe Foreman is responsible for leading and managing crew members' daily activities and production in accordance with project timelines, plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. This role involves providing necessary training on safety and operational procedures while ensuring efficient construction practices and maintaining quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools, and materials for safe and timely construction.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of construction equipment.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets, and daily management reports.
• Assist in developing a weekly schedule and sequence of activities for the assigned crew.
• Ensure timely completion of work assignments within estimated costs while upholding quality standards.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules to crew members.
• Monitor compliance with company policies among all supervised employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or related area.
• Thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
• Ability to perform task planning for safe and efficient work execution.
• Knowledge of scheduling, material control, unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals, and job cost management systems.
• Effective communication skills to convey written and oral instructions to craft workers and management.
• Strong motivational and team player skills.
