About the position
The Pipe Welder supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Pipe Welder is responsible for joining and repairing pipes and tubular components according to schematic or blueprint requirements. The Pipe Welder will also assist with assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Join and repair pipes and tubular components according to schematic or blueprint requirements.
- Assist with assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strive to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- High School or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience with TIG welding of pipe, flanges and fittings; experience with MIG welding and stainless strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools.
- Must be able to provide your own weld helmet for the weld test.
