About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our team at KTBlack Services. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in working with various piping systems. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in construction sites and industrial settings, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble pipe systems, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
• Perform pipe threading and rigging tasks as required for project specifications.
• Maintain existing piping systems by inspecting for leaks or damages and executing repairs as necessary.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
• Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise measurements during installation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with pipeline systems, installation techniques, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with pipefitting duties.
