The Shaw Group is looking for an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in a role that primarily operates outdoors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pipe systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in varying weather conditions.

  • Construct, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems.
  • Select appropriate materials, such as pipes, fittings, and fixtures, and ensure their proper preparation and assembly.
  • Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and cutting tasks to connect pipes and related components.
  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure systems meet safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and repair malfunctions in pipelines, such as leaks or blockages, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and procedures, especially when working in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions.
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter, with a focus on outdoor work.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of various piping materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Welding and cutting skills.
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
