About the position

We are seeking an experienced skilled Pipefitter to join our team, focusing on fire sprinkler fitting and installation. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems in both commercial and residential buildings. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to read blueprints and work with various tools effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems according to local codes and regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
• Perform pipe threading, welding, and rigging as required for installation projects.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively and safely in various work environments.
• Conduct inspections of existing systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fire sprinkler fitting or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with calipers and other measuring tools for precise installation work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to safety practices and procedures while on the job site.
• Must have all PPE.
• Must be a team player.
