About the position

The Instrumentation & Controls Technician will be part of the Operations department at a leading energy company, focusing on supporting pipeline, compressor stations, plant operations, and measurement facilities. This role involves implementing and maintaining various control systems and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain electrical power circuits and equipment, control and automation systems, electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pipeline, compressor stations, plant operations, and measurement facilities.
• Install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and adjust various pneumatic hydraulic, electric, electronic, and Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform Inspection and Maintenance (I & M) checks on all control systems.
• Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent skills and experience.
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams.
• Knowledge of electronic test instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge of process controls and gas processing fundamentals.
