Responsibilities

  • Serve as a design engineer on a wide variety of municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, detailed engineering reports, and supporting documents.
  • Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
  • Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications.
  • Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner.
  • Provide construction support services including field meetings, submittal review, shop drawing review, and RFIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline (focus on water/wastewater preferred).
  • 0-2 years of experience with water and wastewater system design, including the design of pipelines, pumping systems, and/or collection systems.
  • Engineer in Training Certification with intent to obtain Professional Engineer Registration within 4 years (required).
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado is desired.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
