About the position

The Pipeline-Quality Process Engineer at Michelin is responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of products within their area of responsibility. This role involves implementing standard methodologies, monitoring quality performance, and collaborating with teams to achieve excellence in manufacturing processes. The engineer will also mentor operators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that products meet compliance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor standard methodologies within the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure delivered products meet quality planning models and are manufactured according to obtention standards.
  • Collaborate with shop teams to achieve and exceed quality and efficiency performance goals.
  • Anticipate potential customer risks, product compliance issues, and quality performance risks, and implement actions to mitigate these risks.
  • Address and resolve all complaints, nonconformities, nonstandard situations, and performance shifts, showcasing the efficiency of implemented actions.
  • Investigate and resolve causes of anomalies and nonperformance, incorporating findings into the progress plan.
  • Complete the Quality Obtention section of the Progress Plan and contribute to its definition.
  • Provide mentoring and training to all operators to help them gain essential quality proficiencies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor standard methodologies in manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve anomalies and nonperformance issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and delivering outstanding quality in all tasks.
  • Ability to successfully implement actions that reduce risks and improve product compliance and quality performance.
