About the position
The Pivot Technician role involves working with center pivot irrigation systems, focusing on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This position is essential for a family-owned agricultural equipment dealership in Southeastern Nebraska, known for its supportive work environment and long-term employee retention. The technician will also assist with indoor projects and facility maintenance during the off-season, contributing to the overall efficiency of the dealership's operations.
Responsibilities
- Install center pivot irrigation systems and corner irrigation systems.
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on existing irrigation systems.
- Assist with indoor projects and facility maintenance during the off-season.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and track job progress.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with center pivot irrigation systems, including corner irrigation systems.
- Mechanically apt with basic computer skills.
- Solid work ethic and good communication skills.
- Ability to physically perform duties, including lifting up to 80 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug testing.
Nice-to-haves
- In-house center pivot irrigation manufacturer training.
- Experience operating power equipment such as skid loaders and zero turn mowers.
