About the position

We are looking for a passionate Pizza Maker to join our team at PINSA Syosset. This full-time position involves preparing and cooking various types of pizzas in a fast-casual environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on food safety and efficiency in a busy kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook various types of pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Ensure all food safety standards are met, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Assist in food preparation for menu items as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, knives, and other cooking tools.

Requirements

• Proven restaurant experience preferably in a pizzeria or similar culinary setting.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
• Proficiency with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and ovens.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or within a Dietary department is a plus but not required.
