About the position

The Hammondsport Central School District is seeking PK-12 Substitute Teachers to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students across the district. This role is open to both certified and uncertified candidates who are committed to working collaboratively in a positive team environment focused on student success.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Assist in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Implement lesson plans as directed by the regular teacher.
• Manage student behavior and ensure safety in the classroom.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Ability to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
• Current resume and official transcripts required.
• NYS certification(s) preferred but not mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
