About the position

The Hammondsport Central School District is seeking PK-12 Substitute Teachers to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. This role is open to both certified and uncertified candidates who are committed to working in a collaborative and positive team environment focused on student success.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic needs of students in various grade levels from PK-12.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials as needed to meet the needs of students.
• Maintain classroom management and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements

• Demonstrated commitment to working in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
• Possession of NYS certification(s) is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
