About the position

Our Fortune 50 Financial client is looking for a seasoned PL/SQL Developer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle PL/SQL development, with a focus on large data warehouses and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, demonstrating strong capabilities in managing and enhancing Oracle-based data warehouses. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex PL/SQL code to handle large data processing tasks. You will also conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and PL/SQL code, ensuring that our data processing tasks are efficient and effective. Your role will involve developing and managing Unix Shell scripts for data processing and automation, as well as overseeing job scheduling and automation using Autosys Scheduler. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues effectively. Additionally, proficiency in Python for data manipulation and integration with Oracle databases is required, as you will create and maintain Python scripts to support these tasks. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize complex PL/SQL code to handle large data processing tasks.
• Maintain and enhance Oracle-based data warehouses.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Develop and manage Unix Shell scripts for data processing and automation.
• Oversee job scheduling and automation using Autosys Scheduler.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong experience with large data warehouses in Oracle.
• Proficiency in Unix Shell scripting and Autosys Scheduler.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance tuning and optimization within Oracle databases.
• Experience with Python for data manipulation and integration.
• Familiarity with modern data warehousing and ETL tools, such as Ab Initio.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
