About the position

The position involves working closely with technical leads to understand the requirements outlined in the technical specifications. The role requires coding and testing the code, as well as collaborating with the IT lead for code reviews. A significant part of the job includes interfacing with the retail commissions team to ensure that requirements are met and that the data matches the reports generated. This position also entails data digging and data analysis, which are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the data used in various reports. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with the DBA team for setting up permissions and with the ControlM team for back scheduling tasks. The candidate will be expected to engage in a variety of tasks that require both technical expertise and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with technical leads to understand requirements from technical specifications.
• Code and test software, ensuring quality and functionality.
• Collaborate with the IT lead for code reviews.
• Interface with the retail commissions team to ensure requirements are met and data matches reports.
• Conduct data digging and data analysis to support reporting needs.
• Work with the DBA team to set up permissions and manage database access.
• Coordinate with the ControlM team for back scheduling of tasks.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software development.
• 12+ years of strong development experience using Oracle PL/SQL, including features like analytical functions, merge statements, WITH clause, Oracle partitioning, job logging, exception handling, and performance tuning.
• 12+ years of experience in Oracle 12c or 19c.
• 5+ years of experience in a data warehouse environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a data warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with the energy industry and understanding of its terminology.
