About the position

We are looking for a skilled PL/SQL Developer with experience in Pega to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and development, particularly with Oracle PL/SQL, and familiarity with PostgreSQL. This role involves implementing software solutions, coding, troubleshooting, and applying technical skills to enhance our systems as we transition to Pega 8.23 and migrate to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Implement standard software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with minimal guidance.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot systems with an awareness of the impact on upstream and downstream systems and their technical implications.
• Utilize tools within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) toolchain to enhance the value delivered through automation.
• Apply technical troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues of basic complexity.
• Acquire and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills necessary for developing secure, stable code and systems.
• Maintain formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 5+ years of practical experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of software skills, including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and software improvement.
• Possess experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Be proficient in Pega development, with a solid grasp of multiple design techniques.
• Demonstrate working proficiency in the Pega toolset for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software.
• Have a good understanding of PL/SQL.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in PL/SQL and Pega development.
• At least one year of experience in a lead or Scrum role.
• Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL is essential.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of AWS is desirable.
• Experience with Java applications is advantageous.
• Pega v8.4 or later experience is required; Pega certifications are a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS migration from private cloud to AWS.
• Knowledge of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
