About the position

The PL/SQL Developer role involves designing, developing, and optimizing PL/SQL code and packages for Oracle databases. The position requires strong programming skills, particularly in PL/SQL, and a solid understanding of SQL tuning and performance optimization. The developer will work with Oracle 19c/21c and collaborate with teams to ensure that business requirements are met through effective testing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, cursors, and triggers.
• Perform SQL tuning and performance optimization using tools like SQL Trace and Explain Plan.
• Design and execute test plans to ensure business requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly, proposing effective solutions.
• Utilize source control for version management of code.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project success.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with PL/SQL.
• 5+ years of experience in SQL and SQL tuning.
• Strong programming skills in PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Oracle 19c/21c and Unix.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python is desired.
• Familiarity with advanced PL/SQL features and developer tools like Toad.
