The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle technologies, specifically with a working knowledge of Oracle 19c and Oracle 21c, and will be responsible for developing and maintaining PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of experience with PL/SQL and at least 5 years of experience in SQL and SQL tuning. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong programming and development skills, particularly in PL/SQL, and will be proficient in batch coding techniques such as bulk collections, dynamic SQL, and parallel processing. In this position, you will be expected to troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly, providing effective solutions to enhance system performance. You will also be involved in performance tuning of PL/SQL using tools such as SQL Trace, Explain Plan, and Indexing. The role includes designing and executing test plans, performing gap analysis, and ensuring that business requirements and functional specifications are met. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Additionally, familiarity with source control systems and experience in using developer tools like Toad will be beneficial. While Python is not a primary requirement, having knowledge in this area is considered a desirable skill.
