About the position

The PL/SQL Developer role is focused on backend development for mission-critical applications, requiring expertise in PL/SQL and strong troubleshooting skills. The developer will work with various technologies, including ETL and TSQL, to interpret business requirements, write functional code, and provide production support. This position emphasizes collaboration, communication, and the ability to work with source control in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis
• Take direction from senior developers
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software
• Write clean, scalable code
• Unit test and prepare applications for deployment
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code
• Improve existing software
• Create documentation as required
• Provide production support
• Available to provide third tier support to the help desk on assigned weekends and holidays if needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad, SQL Plus (minimum 5 years)
• Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures
• Ability to work with collections
• Ability to work with async processes
• Interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions
• Ability to create complex DML and debug
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Attention to detail is of the utmost importance
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience

Nice-to-haves

• Strong skills with TSQL Development (intermediate level)
• Strong soft skills/tech chop combo to engage the business and IT
