The PL/SQL Developer will be an integral part of an integrated product team consisting of system owners, developers, and testers. This role involves a comprehensive set of responsibilities including the analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and documentation/audit checks for assigned system change requests. The developer will engage in customized coding using PL/SQL to meet end-user specifications, ensuring that all system changes adhere to established developer guide requirements and standards. Participation in system requirements reviews, critical design reviews, test readiness reviews, and pre/post-implementation reviews is essential as part of the defined system development life cycle. In this position, the developer will utilize their expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug software. They may work across various areas such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or testing, configuration management procedures, and statistical analysis and modeling. The role requires collaboration with users to define the scope and objectives of existing or new systems, providing analytical support and technical advice throughout the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases. The developer will also be responsible for planning and scheduling new application systems projects in conjunction with users, systems software, and computer center operations personnel. This includes identifying objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements. Additionally, the role involves ensuring the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems using various analysis tools and techniques, as well as reviewing and evaluating systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety. The developer will confirm that design mitigations are captured in the design documentation and verify their implementation, while also performing basic design, build, or maintenance of software using various authoring or scripting languages and management tools.
