About the position

The PL/SQL Developer position involves designing, developing, and supporting database solutions primarily using Oracle PL/SQL. The role requires extensive experience in creating SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, and ETL processes, particularly in a financial domain. The candidate will work in a fast-paced agile environment, collaborating with diverse teams to deliver high-quality database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, triggers, and cursors.
• Create and optimize SQL queries and database objects such as tables, views, and indexes.
• Utilize Oracle tools like SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and Toad for database management.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL tuning and optimization using tools like SQL Trace and Explain Plan.
• Develop ETL mappings and jobs to process large files using Informatica Power Center and/or Power Exchange.
• Engage in Shell and Unix programming as needed.
• Collaborate with multiple teams in an agile/scrum environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
• 5-7+ years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer/DBA/DA.
• Proficiency in creating SQL queries and PL/SQL packages.
• Experience in the financial domain is preferred.
• Familiarity with database object creation using Oracle tools.
• Experience in SQL and PL/SQL tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools, particularly Informatica.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Shell and Unix programming.
• Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies.
