As a PL/SQL Developer at AdvanSoft International, you will play a crucial role in the data migration and conversion processes. Your primary responsibility will be to create detailed mappings between old and new data elements, ensuring that all business rules are verified and clarified through user contact. You will participate in various business process evaluation and improvement activities, which include requirements gathering, system analysis, and system design. Your expertise in PL/SQL will be essential as you execute projects based on these activities, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the data migration process. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also be involved in the evaluation and implementation of third-party software solutions as needed. You will develop standardized procedures for common conversion routines, which will help increase efficiencies across the board. Data verification will be a critical part of your role, as you will ensure that all data is accurately migrated to the target system. You will develop a comprehensive plan for live conversion, which includes obtaining live data from the current system and running conversion programs. Post-conversion, you will verify the converted data with customers and provide support to address any questions or problems that may arise. Your role will also involve post-conversion testing, where you will test the converted data according to the established test plan. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining utility programs or scripts to automate common pre/post conversion tasks, further enhancing the efficiency of the data migration process.
