About the position

Indium Software is seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer to join our team in Princeton, Alabama. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Oracle databases, specifically versions 12c and above, and will have extensive experience in PL/SQL development. This role is crucial for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our database systems, and it requires a deep understanding of investment business processes to align technical solutions with business needs and regulatory requirements. As a PL/SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers. You will also engage in database management tasks, including performance tuning and troubleshooting. The role involves developing and maintaining UNIX shell scripts for automation and data manipulation, as well as working with Java for enterprise messaging integration using JMS. Your expertise in version control systems, particularly Git, will be essential for managing code repositories and collaborating on code changes. In addition to your technical skills, you will utilize AWS services for application deployment and management, implement CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins, and manage job scheduling with tools such as Autosys. Your ability to track issues and manage projects using JIRA will also be a key component of your responsibilities. This position offers a hybrid work mode, allowing for flexibility in your work environment while contributing to our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers in Oracle 12c or higher.
• Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of Oracle databases.
• Perform database tuning and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain UNIX shell scripts for automation and data manipulation.
• Work with Java, including integration with JMS for enterprise messaging.
• Utilize Git for version control and manage code repositories.
• Utilize AWS services for deployment, scalability, and management of applications.
• Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment processes using tools such as Harness or Jenkins.
• Use JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
• Manage job scheduling using tools like Autosys or Korn Job.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in PL/SQL development and database management.
• Extensive experience with Oracle databases (12c and above).
• Strong background in UNIX scripting and automation.
• Proficiency in Java (version 6 and above) and JMS integration.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with AWS services for application management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Harness.
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Autosys or Korn Job.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with JCL software for job control language tasks.
• Familiarity with investment business processes and regulatory requirements.
