About the position

The position requires a seasoned PL/SQL Developer with extensive experience in database development and ETL processes. The role focuses on creating and optimizing database solutions, collaborating with UI teams, and ensuring efficient data handling and performance tuning. The candidate will work primarily from the EOG Houston Office, contributing to various projects that involve complex data analysis and custom Oracle code development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize PL/SQL code for database applications.
• Collaborate with UI teams to integrate database solutions with front-end applications.
• Create and manage ETL processes, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Utilize database features such as partitions, dbms jobs, and user-defined types.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL tuning to enhance application performance.
• Analyze data to debug and resolve performance issues.
• Develop end-to-end jobs as part of the ETL process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years and maximum of 10 years of working experience in total.
• Strong PL/SQL development skills.
• Proficient in database development utilizing partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, functions, and Oracle user-defined types.
• Experience working with UI teams/applications and using cursors, XML, JSON, etc.
• Strong experience in developing end-to-end jobs as part of ETL processes.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills.
• Ability to analyze data to debug, trace, and fix performance problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with reporting tools, Oracle APEX, and ETL tools such as Informatica and Data Stage.
• Familiarity with Oracle EBS.
