About the position

The PL/SQL Developer role at Elite Talent Hub involves designing, developing, debugging, documenting, unit-testing, implementing, and deploying database objects. The position requires adherence to approved software development life cycle methodologies, specifically SAFe® Agile, and necessitates a hybrid work model with two days on-site in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the business analysis team to understand project requirements.
• Develop overall architecture/product design documents and technical design specifications for individual modules.
• Ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem.
• Develop database objects like packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and type objects using SQL Developer.
• Utilize expert knowledge of Oracle for troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and code re-use.
• Familiarize with JSON, DBMS packages, and DBMS jobs.
• Implement cloud-based solutions, particularly AWS RDS.
• Understand and implement additional frameworks like Oracle APEX.
• Utilize Atlassian tools to support project development activities in a CI/CD environment.
• Apply Oracle standard coding practices and industry standards.
• Perform code reviews and unit testing of PL/SQL code developed by team members.
• Collaborate with team members to develop program units that integrate seamlessly into the overall system.
• Develop applications using SAFe® Agile methodology.
• Understand CMMI Level 3 processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or specialized knowledge in software development and web application technologies.
• 5-8 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Weblogic, Apache HTTP (OHS), Oracle APEX, JavaScript, CSS, and XML SAML integration for Oracle APEX.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cloud-based implementations, particularly AWS RDS.
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools for project development activities.
