About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plaintiff's Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Gregorio, Chafin, Johnson, Tabor & Fenasci, LLC in Shreveport, LA. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $47,304 to $49,783 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation support, particularly in plaintiff's cases, and will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and management. As a Plaintiff's Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in the legal process, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case files. You will be expected to utilize tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant information and support the legal team in building strong cases for our clients. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in ensuring that all deadlines are met and that the necessary documentation is prepared accurately and efficiently. This position allows for remote work, providing flexibility in your work environment while still requiring in-person attendance in Shreveport, LA. The successful candidate will be expected to commute to the office as needed and may need to relocate to the area before starting work. This role is ideal for a mid-level paralegal with a passion for litigation and a commitment to supporting clients in their pursuit of justice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents and pleadings.
  • Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up to date.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation and case management.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed.
  • File documents with the court and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
  • Maintain a calendar of deadlines and court dates.

Requirements

  • Mid-level litigation paralegal experience.
  • Proficiency in Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
