In the role of Planner/Graphic Designer, we'll count on you to conduct multimodal transportation planning studies for a wide range of clients including but not limited to state DOTs, metropolitan planning organizations, transit agencies, and local governments. You will develop high-quality presentations and communicate complex transportation planning concepts in a simple and relatable manner with compelling, professional visual designs that inform and educate clients, stakeholders, and the public. Your responsibilities will include creating, revising, and updating a wide range of deliverables including but not limited to exhibits, flyers, infographics, reports, maps/wayfinding graphics, social media graphics, presentations, stylized templates for long documents, logos, and assets for digital engagement. You will also support community engagement and public information efforts, meetings, and public hearings, participating in public meetings or hearings to explain planning proposals, gather feedback from those affected by projects, or achieve consensus on project designs. Additionally, you will define regional or local transportation planning problems or priorities, collect, assimilate, analyze, and manage project-related data developed through research, interviews, surveys, and other methods. You will recommend transportation system improvements or projects based on economic, population, land-use, or traffic projections, collaborate with engineers to research, analyze, or resolve complex transportation design issues, and support business development efforts and client relationships with the support of senior staff. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
