About the position

The Long Range Maintenance Planner at Frontier Airlines is responsible for effectively planning line maintenance events and special maintenance visits, including engine changes and aircraft modifications. This role involves developing and modifying long-term maintenance plans, forecasting major line maintenance events, and coordinating resources to ensure efficient operations. The planner will communicate plans with various departments and optimize the maintenance program to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement long-term plans for scheduled line maintenance events, including A-Checks, engine changes, and repairs.
  • Optimize the maintenance program utilizing TCI and Maintenance Program intervals.
  • Leverage available network opportunities for planned long-term maintenance events.
  • Plan and schedule EOs (AD and SB driven) and FCDs issued by Engineering to achieve compliance.
  • Review and monitor MEL/NEF/CDL/ODM deferrals and assign in conjunction with driving maintenance events.
  • Coordinate with Demand Planning Analyst for required aircraft part removals based on contractual material obligations.
  • Generate and authorize work packages in FMIS from the established plan.
  • Review, plan, and coordinate the sequencing and allocation of resources for each planned maintenance event.
  • Conduct coordination meetings to review upcoming resource requirements for the 30/60/90-day plan.
  • Clearly communicate and coordinate plans with various departments as needed.
  • Adjust and develop contingency plans in response to changes in aircraft routing.
  • Continuously evaluate and modify all planned maintenance events.

Requirements

  • Three years aircraft heavy and/or line maintenance experience.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license and/or military experience.
  • Two years maintenance planning and/or production control experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two years supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an aviation focus or related study.
  • Familiarity with TRAX or other maintenance information system.
