About the position

The Planner/Scheduler III is responsible for developing, detailing, expanding, and maintaining project schedules for complex, multi-million dollar projects in the oil and gas industry. This role involves collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure accurate scheduling and adherence to enterprise standards, while managing the integration of cost and schedule performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain owner-side project schedules for projects valued at $50MM+ with high complexity.
  • Update and revise baseline and forecast schedules as projects progress, incorporating change management and physical percent complete data.
  • Interface with project staff and stakeholders to gather necessary information for schedule management.
  • Budget load schedule activities to establish a performance measurement baseline and track progress during earned value reporting.
  • Analyze schedule performance and communicate risks and trends to the Project Manager.
  • Manage and report schedule performance variances and indicators in collaboration with the Project Cost Controller.
  • Provide technical advice related to scheduling, planning, and logistics.
  • Develop detailed 'what-if' schedules to communicate options to the project team and identify critical path elements.
  • Represent the department in coordinating internal projects and external activities with customers and partners.

Requirements

  • Technical college diploma or university degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of working experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in planning/scheduling within the midstream oil and gas industry, preferably with facilities scope.
  • Expert level knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Experience planning/scheduling multi-million dollar, complex projects.
  • Specialized expertise in project planning and scheduling.

  • Aptitude for building relationships with project staff and company leadership.
  • Experience in earned value management analysis and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical data articulation.
