About the position

We are seeking an Entry Level Planning Expeditor-Scheduler for our Budd Lake, New Jersey location. This role is crucial in supporting our planning team and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. As a Planning Expeditor, you will assist the Planning team by picking, mapping, and delivering work orders as directed by the Material Planner. You will play a key role in physically tracking material shortages and maintaining the MRO Stock Room through regular cycle counts. Your responsibilities will also include performing weekly inventory cycle counts, maintaining inventory stock, and ensuring that materials are properly put away. Additionally, you will create and issue all incoming work orders and provide backup support for the Receiving team as needed. This position may also involve other tasks as assigned by your supervisor. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, although this is preferred rather than required. A minimum of one year of experience in a purchasing or planning role within a manufacturing environment is essential. Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems is necessary, and knowledge of optics processing is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization are critical for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Aid Planning as an Expeditor by picking, mapping, and delivering work orders per Material Planner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in a purchasing/planner role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of optics processing highly preferred.
