About the position

The Planning/Experimentation Database Management Analyst at Core One plays a crucial role in supporting national security operations by managing and optimizing databases. This position involves utilizing automation systems to organize and present data, ensuring efficient database operations, and providing technical support for various military and governmental activities. The role requires a strong background in database management and software implementation, along with the ability to communicate effectively with high-level command staff.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize automation systems to organize, store, and present usable data to support EXFOR operations.
  • Input USSOCOM activities into various databases (SOF Enterprise, Joint Staff (JS), and Military Services).
  • Provide support for data backup and restoration to prevent data loss.
  • Identify user needs to create and administer databases, ensuring they operate efficiently and without error.
  • Conduct performance tuning and debugging to ensure databases work effectively.
  • Make and test modifications/upgrades to database structures as needed.
  • Maintain databases and update permissions, merging old databases into new ones.
  • Present data in various formats to ensure audience understanding.
  • Support information exchange and distribution to the SOF Enterprise, JS, OSD, and Military Services.
  • Develop and implement a knowledge management tool for information sharing across the SOF Enterprise.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for experimentation meetings and events as required.
  • Manage calendars, organize daily schedules, and set up team meetings.
  • Attend meetings to take comprehensive notes or present information.
  • Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations using Microsoft Office products.
  • Coordinate travel and create itineraries for team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in information or computer science-related subject areas.
  • 5 years' experience in database development, management, and software implementation.
  • 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff.
  • 5 years' experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
  • Active Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
