The Planning Senior Supply Chain Manager for Supply Strategy and Optimization at Amazon is a pivotal role within the Amazon Transportation Services Supply Strategy and Optimization Management (SS&O) team. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to engage with the complexities of the U.S. largest e-commerce retailer's transportation business. The SS&O team is tasked with determining the optimal amount, placement, and type of supply necessary for the Amazon Middle Mile (NA) network, ensuring the lowest cost network for the future. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including research scientists, data scientists, software teams, analysts, and program managers, to create a comprehensive plan of record, manage variability risks, and improve tools and analytic approaches. As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive organization-level decisions. You will lead a team responsible for strategic long-term planning, tactical execution, and cross-functional projects within Amazon Transportation Services. The role demands strong analytical skills, proven project management experience, and the ability to deliver results across various levels of leadership in a complex and ambiguous environment. Key responsibilities include analyzing industry trends, managing network-level demand execution plans, driving optimization initiatives, and overseeing complex cross-functional programs.
