About the position

This position provides essential planning and scheduling support to meet multiple mission requirements across various locations. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of components of the Program Integrated Master Schedule. This includes responsibilities such as proposal schedule development and reviewing and supporting the Statement of Work and Basis of Estimate development. The candidate will advise the Program Management team regarding any expected contractual impacts or critical events that may affect delivery or cost. Effective communication and cross-coordination with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) are vital aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing Critical Path Methodology and will be adept at applying it in schedule network development and analysis. Additionally, the candidate will develop and refine their knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM). This position requires interaction across a variety of program functional organizations, including engineering, procurement, contracts, business management, and production. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working effectively in a team environment. The candidate must also possess the ability to prepare status reports, metrics, and make presentations as required. A self-starter with demonstrated hands-on experience in Program Planning and Scheduling is preferred. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. The main functions of this position include PMO/Program Interface, leading proposal and business rhythm execution, tool integration, serving as a Technical Scope Subject Matter Expert (SME), and acting as the Product Quality Lead. The candidate should have the skill set to act on behalf of the manager, although they will not be the lead planner for the program. Mentoring the team will also be a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide planning and scheduling support for multiple mission requirements across various locations.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Program Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Support proposal schedule development and review Statement of Work and Basis of Estimate development.
  • Advise the Program Management team on contractual impacts and critical events affecting delivery or cost.
  • Ensure effective communication and cross-coordination with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Utilize Critical Path Methodology in schedule network development and analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience with Critical Path Methodology.
  • Experience with Deltek Open Plan Scheduling Tool.
  • Experience in schedule control processes, proposal development, internal and external audits, and project management integration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Experience providing risk and opportunity analysis input.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working independently across Technical Teams to develop a basic understanding of the technical product.
  • Experience with Capture, Research & Development, and Production Scheduling Requirements and dependencies between functions.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
