About the position

The Plans and Operations Integrator position at K2 Solutions Inc. is a senior-level role based in Homestead, FL, requiring a Top Secret/SCI clearance. This position is pivotal in providing technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition and analysis related to past and future operations within the SOCSOUTH Area of Operations (AO). The role demands a high level of expertise in requirements development and implementation for complex systems, making recommendations for organization-wide systems improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts. The incumbent will advise and assist in various aspects of the J3 Global Competition (GC), Counter Drug (CD), Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC), and other critical planning and coordination efforts, including Counter Terrorism (CT), Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), Information Related Capabilities (IRCs), and Irregular Warfare (IW). Participation in joint planning groups is essential, where the individual will provide Special Operations Forces (SOF) specific recommended courses of action to the J3 and SOCSOUTH Command Group, necessitating knowledge of Caribbean, Central American, and South American regional affairs. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Plans and Operations Integrator will integrate across all directorates to coordinate and synchronize CD/CTOC operations and Operational Assessment Initiatives (OAI) to achieve and assess desired effects. The role involves liaising with Geographical Combatant Commands (GCCs), Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), USSOUTHCOM J3, JTF 4.0, and other components to facilitate the inclusion of IRCs into SOCSOUTH Counter Terrorism Network (CTN) OAIs and the development of strategic and operational-level plans. The SME will also serve as the primary continuity for the J35 Future Plans Division into JTF 4.0 and USSOUTHCOM J3/J35, assisting in the development of products that support the coordination and integration of IRCs to achieve desired effects. Responsibilities include developing long-term plans, implementing support for future operations, and coordinating with the J5 to develop assessment solutions that facilitate strategic long-term planning. Maintaining situational awareness of all activities within the Division's spheres of influence is crucial, as is serving as the Division's liaison to various J3 entities on all plans and future operations in the USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). The role also involves assisting in the compilation, analysis, and completion of Theatre Campaign Assessments in coordination with other SOCSOUTH Directorates and supporting the senior contract program manager for all JOD/J3 activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition and analysis for past and future operations in the SOCSOUTH AO.
  • Advise and assist in all aspects of the J3 Global Competition (GC), Counter Drug (CD), Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC), and other planning and coordination efforts.
  • Participate in joint planning groups and provide SOF specific recommended courses of action to the J3 and SOCSOUTH Command Group.
  • Integrate as a SME across all directorates to coordinate and synchronize CD/CTOC operations and OAI.
  • Liaise with GCCs, TSOCs, USSOUTHCOM J3, JTF 4.0, and other components to facilitate IRC inclusion into SOCSOUTH CTN OAIs.
  • Serve as the J35 Future Plans Division primary continuity into JTF 4.0 and USSOUTHCOM J3/J35.
  • Assist in the development of long-term plans and support future operations.
  • Coordinate with the J5 in developing assessment solutions for operational objectives.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness for all activities within the Division's spheres of influence.
  • Serve as the Division's liaison to the Regional Fusion Division, J38 Joint Effects Division, and other J3 entities.
  • Assist in the compilation, analysis, and completion of Theatre Campaign Assessments in coordination with other SOCSOUTH Directorates.
  • Support the senior contract program manager for all JOD/J3 activities.

Requirements

  • 10 years prior military experience, with experience working in a SOF headquarters required.
  • 3 years USSOUTHCOM AOR experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in an operational and/or strategic level headquarters (O-6 HQs or above) demonstrating familiarity with the Joint Planning Process or Service equivalent planning process.
  • Must possess and maintain a current TS/SCI clearance.
