About the position

The Plans and Programs Specialist position within the Department of the Air Force is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Plans Office for the 366 Fighter Wing. This role involves providing advice and support to leadership on readiness planning and managing various installation program plans. The specialist will ensure that organizational goals and mission requirements are met through effective program management and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Plans Office.
• Provide advice and support to leadership on readiness planning and operations activities.
• Manage unit training, readiness, and plans functions for the 366 Fighter Wing.
• Establish and implement requirements and evaluations for operations programs.
• Serve as the Wing's Receptions Program Specialist.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to deployment and mobilization.
• Skill in applying evaluation techniques for contingency exercise coordination and plan development.
• Ability to analyze and adjust work operations to meet program requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in military operations and training programs.
• Familiarity with Air Force, NORAD, and ACC command structures.
