About the position

The Financial Manager at DFG Beverage will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment. This role is crucial for providing financial insights to support operational improvements and strategic decision-making, while also leading and developing the finance team to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including preparation of monthly financial reporting package and executive management summary.
  • Prepare variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present actionable insights to plant management to drive financial efficiency and cost savings.
  • Overall balance sheet ownership including month end close process and account reconciliations.
  • Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and LE forecasts in collaboration with department heads and plant management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term financial planning and capital investment decisions.
  • Track and report on capital expenditure projects.
  • Manage the plant's cost accounting processes, including the analysis of production costs, labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Oversee all aspects of the annual standard cost setting process.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of cost accounting data and inventory valuations.
  • Responsible for reporting and analysis of all production variances including bulk, raw materials, and manufacturing costs.
  • Responsible for accuracy and integrity of ERP master data including bulk, raw materials and FCG.
  • Partner with plant management to provide financial insights that support decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Evaluate and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, quality, and cost control.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting and filing requirements (including both USG and local).
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and internal controls related to financial operations.
  • Lead and develop the plant's finance team, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations and cost structures.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably JDE.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
