About the position

The Plant Controller JR position at Baxter Healthcare in Cleveland, MS, serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the plant's supply chain. Responsibilities

  • Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in financial and operational areas.
  • Develop and execute action plans to drive profitable growth.
  • Support and participate in the standardization and modernization of ISC financial processes.
  • Liaise with process business partners to enhance efficiency in fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Oversee all plant-related GAAP, SOX, and Baxter policy requirements.
  • Ensure accurate financial records (P&L and BS) for the plant.
  • Communicate financial performance effectively, including month-end closing and budget preparation.
  • Maximize financial performance through analysis and guidance.
  • Generate and execute Value Improvement Projects (VIP).
  • Manage capital investments to ensure they are on time and on budget.
  • Monitor cash flow, operating income, and manufacturing variances.
  • Develop the financial acumen of both finance and non-finance team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain finance.
  • Background in standard costing, budget management, and capital analysis.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing change.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization.
  • Ability to execute a business case for change by analyzing best practices.
  • Strong presence with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships.
  • Experience with Lean concepts and tools preferred.
  • High energy and urgency in work.
