About the position

The Plant Controller will oversee the financial operations of a manufacturing plant generating $150-180M in annual revenue. This role involves managing general ledger accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, while collaborating closely with plant leadership to enhance performance. The position offers significant growth potential within the company and requires a hands-on approach to financial management and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full GL Accounting, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis for the plant.
• Manage monthly close processes, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and maintain internal controls for the location.
• Report on business performance and partner with Plant Leadership to drive improvements.
• Present quarterly financial results to the President of the company and conduct weekly calls with division leadership.
• Support the implementation of new reporting systems and clean up data post-transition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced credentials are a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with a focus on growth.
• 3+ years of experience as a financial leader in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a publicly traded company.
• Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting in a manufacturing context.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.
