About the position

The Plant Controller position is responsible for providing timely financial and operational analysis in a dynamic, lean manufacturing environment. This role involves analyzing results, identifying trends, developing reports, and communicating findings to senior management and business partners. The Plant Controller will manage monthly forecasts, product costs, journal entries, account reconciliations, and drive process improvements using various BI reporting tools, including Tableau. The position requires collaboration with operations management to develop budgets and track operational performance, ensuring financial commitments are met.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with ATL and Erie, PA Ops Management to develop annual budget and monthly forecast updates for each facility.
• Track operational performance weekly to ensure financial commitments are met.
• Responsible for month-end closing responsibilities such as journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Review financial results and variances to forecast for completeness.
• Own P&L for various functions and sites including ATL and Erie, PA.
• Identify and track cost-out and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide financial support during Gemba and other VDM meetings.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments and locations.
• Manage critical elements of financial internal control environment and support audit requests.
• Assist with product costing requests and system updates.
• Manage capital expenditures, including preparation and review of ROI/payback analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• 5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365
• Experience with OneStream
• Proficiency in Tableau
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
