About the position

Challenging career position for plant controller in the Bakersfield area. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our client's plant by overseeing all aspects of production control. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), routers, and work orders, as well as developing and managing cost tables in both ERP systems and Excel. Analyzing and explaining production variances, including purchase price variances (PPVs) and material variances, will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also track inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production, interfacing with various departments, including engineering, purchasing, and production.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), routers, and work orders.
• Develop and manage cost tables in both ERP systems and Excel.
• Analyze and explain production variances, including purchase price variances (PPVs) and material variances.
• Track inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production.
• Interface with various departments, including engineering, purchasing, and production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and terminology.
• Proven ability to create and maintain accurate BOMs, routers, and work orders.
• Experience building cost tables in ERP systems and Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
