About the position

The Plant Controller is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial results while safeguarding plant assets in a complex manufacturing environment. This role involves providing financial leadership to the Plant Management team, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with internal controls. The Controller will also manage direct reports involved in day-to-day accounting and inventory control, and collaborate with various teams to drive operational and financial improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliation and management.
• Conduct forecasting and budget planning activities.
• Analyze and report on capital expenditures.
• Perform accurate cost analysis for operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
• Complete statutory reporting as required.
• Facilitate internal and external audits.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost savings.
• Manage and develop direct reports in accounting and inventory control.

Requirements

• B.S. / B.A. degree in Accounting.
• CPA, CMA or equivalent designation.
• 5-7 years of related work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Manufacturing/costing experience is essential.
• Staff management experience is required.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of financial accounting systems, controls, and compliance procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing is a plus.
• ERP System experience, preferably with SAP.
• High level of IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office.
