Vaco Atlanta is collaborating with a global manufacturing company located in Knoxville, TN, to find a qualified Plant Controller. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial activities of the manufacturing facility, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow within a high-growth company. The primary responsibilities of the Plant Controller include overseeing the financial operations at the plant level, which encompasses budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The individual will manage the month-end closing process and prepare monthly financial statements along with other operational reports for the site. A critical aspect of this role involves analyzing variances and effectively communicating explanations to management, along with recommended actions to address any discrepancies. Additionally, the Plant Controller will be responsible for setting the standard cost of manufactured goods, calculating the Bill of Materials (BOM), and monitoring inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. This position is targeted to pay between $115,000 and $125,000 annually, reflecting the importance of the role within the organization. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar related field.
  • 6+ years of standard cost accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Strong ERP experience with Advanced Excel.
  • CPA preferred.
